Getting There
Mykonos has daily ferry connections with Piraeus (Athens Port), Rafina (Athens port on Attica east coast), Tinos, Syros, Paros, Naxos, Ios, Santorini and Andros. It is also connected with Crete (Heraklion), Amorgos, Samos, Ikaria, Serifos, Sifnos, Milos and most of Cyclades Islands.
Mykonos has international airport. There are daily flight connections with Athens International Airport. Check for flights from / to Santorini, Heraklio (Crete), Rhodes, Thessaloniki. -
Getting Around
There are 3 bus terminals in three different areas of the island. The bus terminal at Fabrica serves Platys Gyalos, Psarou, Ornos, Agios Ioannis, Paradise and Paraga. The bus terminal at OTE area serves Ano Mera, τον Kalafati and Elia. The bus terminal at the Old Port serves New Port and Agios Stefanos. The beaches are also linked to Mykonos harbour by regular boats.
Taxis, car and motorbike rental is also available.
There are daily excursion boats to Delos Island.

Visit Delos Island, one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece
Delos Island was the most important sanctuary in Ancient Greece and according to mythology the birth place of Apollo and Artemis.
The first signs of habitation on the island date from the 3rd millennium B.C., and important remains of the Mycenaean period have been uncovered
in the area of the sanctuary.
In the 7th century B.C. Delos was already a known Ionic centre because of its religious importance as the birth-place of Apollo.
The Delos archaeological sanctuary is listed by Unesco as one of mankind's most important cultural and historical sites.
Delos is an uninhabited island and overnight stay on Delos is forbidden
Getting to Delos: There are daily excursion boats from Mykonos and neighbour islands.
Touring Mykonos
Hora (Mykonos Town)
is a stunningly pretty town,
with the brightly painted balconies of the whitewashed cube shaped
houses and a maze of narrow streets, is gathered
around its harbour in the middle of a wide bay. Traffic is banned from
Mykonos town center, thus the character of the town has been preserved.
There is no need to mention the world famous vibrant nightlife,
where the island dances till the morning, no need to mention the numerous smart
restaurants neither the bustling jewellers and boutiques.
On the Kastro hill is the island's oldest church,
Panagia Paraportiani (picture on the right), an arrangement of four chapels into one.
Places of interest include the Archaeological Museum which exhibits finds
from tombs on the nearby island Rhenia, vases and sculptures, the Nautical
Museum of the Agean (close to Tria Pigadia square) with navigation instruments,
old maps and model ships. The Folklore Museum exhibits a collection
of icons, folk musical instruments, costumes and textiles.
Agios Stephanos
is a busy coarse sand resort with some hotels near its beach and water sports.
Ano Mera
is the island's single village.
The interesting nearby Panagia Tourliani Monastery has fine wood-carvings and a collection of icons and treasures.
Elia
is 8 kilometers away from Mykonos and linked with frequent buses from Mykonos town. Elia is probably the best beach in Mykonos.
Ornos
is a small heaven, a beautiful coarse sand beach with a few tavernas, hotels and rooms.
Paradise
is the all over tan sandy beach is well sheltered by its headland.
Next to Paradise, Super Paradise used to be a mainly gay beach; today is mixed.
Platys Yialos
is a lively and stylish resort with many hotels and restaurants, was the original Mykonos resort.
There are two sandy beaches both offering water sports and sub-aqua.
